Although it has been in our humidor since April, we wanted to make people aware that El Tigre is there.
The new Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicano is a medium-to-full strength, box-pressed cigar featuring an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Connecticut Corojo H99 binder, and Dominican-forward fillers.
What does that mean?
That means that it offers a balanced flavor profile of rich cedar, cinnamon spice, earthy coffee, and subtle creaminess.
El Tigre’s fierce and powerful beginning will surprise you and then lead your palate into a rich and textured trap that leaves you feeling lighter than expected.
It opens with pungent earth, cedar, and a sharp cinnamon spice, with almond and floral undertones.
The body has a smooth creaminess which rounds out the cinnamon and then it blends in with espresso, and cocoa.
The finish leans into a woody, coffee, and a warm pepper long finish.
Build: Neatly box-pressed with a smooth, oily wrapper and excellent overall construction.
Burn: Delivers an even burn line, solid ash, and an effortless draw.
